Moscow format meeting on Afghanistan to be held in Kazan

The Russian city of Kazan will be the site of a new Moscow-format meeting on the Afghan peace settlement in September. According to the special representative of the President of the Russian Federation for Afghanistan, Zamir Kabulov, all members of the format will take part in the meeting, TASS reports.

Kabulov also said that the Taliban "accepted the invitation" and all members of the Moscow format on Afghanistan, which includes Russia, India, Iran, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan, will take part in the talks.

The previous meeting of the Moscow format on Afghanistan was held in November last year.
