Ashgabat will host the Kurash World Championships in November

The capital of Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, will host the Kurash World Championship in November 2023.
In order to hold the competition at a high level, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a decree on the establishment of the Organizing Committee of the Kurash World Championship. The document also approved the composition of this structure. The resolution was published in the evening news of the Turkmen State Television.
The previous Kurash World Championship was held in November 2022 in the Indian city of Pune, where the national team of Turkmenistan won silver and bronze. 300 athletes from about 60 countries competed for medals at the World Championship in India.
