Intel, which manufactures a wide range of electronic devices and computer components, has decided to abandon the further release of mini-PCs of the Next Unit of Computing (NUC) family.

The processor giant sent the corresponding notification to its partners.

The statement states the company's intention to change its strategy to allow other partners to continue the innovation and growth of NUC. At the same time, the corporation stressed that this decision will not affect the remaining divisions of Intel Client Computing Group (CCG) or Network and Edge Computing (NEX).

Reference motherboards for mini-PCs, which Intel was engaged in, will also not be produced.

Intel Corporation is the world's largest semiconductor manufacturer with manufacturing facilities located in the USA, Europe and Asia. It produces a wide variety of equipment: motherboards, flash memory, switches, routers, microchips and much more.

Intel released the first NUC PC in 2013. Whether it will be produced with the departure of Intel from the market is still unknown.
