Bidding on SCRMET: polypropylene and cotton products were in demand
Polypropylene of the TPP D 30 S brand (25,5 thousand TMT per ton), cotton yarn ($2.10 per kg), flannel fabric ($0.27 per sq.m) and bleached cotton fiber ($1.70 per kg) were in demand during trading at the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan on Thursday, July 6.
In the domestic market, local entrepreneurs have concluded deals with Turkmenneft Group for the purchase of 250 tons of polypropylene for a total amount of 6.3 million TMT.
A businessman from Turkey purchased 468.5 thousand kg of cotton yarn for $983.9 thousand from the Ministry of Textile Industry of Turkmenistan.
A representative of the Kyrgyz business community signed a contract with a Turkmen individual enterprise for the purchase of 220 thousand square meters of flannel fabric for $59.4 thousand.
A company from the UAE signed a contract with an individual entrepreneur from Turkmenistan for the purchase of 43 thousand kg of bleached cotton fiber for $73.1 thousand.
In total, 5 deals worth $1.1 million and 6.3 million TMT were concluded during the auction.
