There will be as many media representatives as athletes at the Asian Games in Hangzhou

It is expected that the XIX Asian Games of 2022 in Hangzhou will be covered by 12 thousand media representatives — the same number as athletes. This was announced by the organizers of the competition during the meeting of the World Meeting of Broadcasters in Hangzhou.
All media representatives will work in the Main Media Center located in the Hangzhou International Exhibition Center. The International Broadcasting Center, which is a temporary hub for all broadcasters during major sporting events, will start operating at full capacity five days before the start of the Games on September 23.
"I am very glad to see that so many broadcasting rights holders from Asia have joined this Second World Meeting of Broadcasters in Hangzhou," Jin Zhou Jian, Director of the Olympic Council of Asia for Media and Broadcasting, told delegates.
The TV signal will be generated by China Media Group (CMG), which has become the leading broadcaster of the Games.
During the competition, the media village will host about 5 thousand people. It will open 10 days before the Games.
The XIX Asian Games will be held in Hangzhou from September 23 to October 8, 2023. It is expected that 12 thousand athletes from Asian countries will take part in the competition.
