Turkmen experts have studied advanced methods for compiling financial reports in Yerevan


Experts in the field of economics and finance of Turkmenistan and Armenia held an exchange of experience in Yerevan and studied the possibilities of best practices in the preparation of financial statements. Potential areas of cooperation between experts of the two countries were also considered.

Representatives of the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan and the State Statistics Committee arrived in the capital of Armenia as part of the Turkmen delegation. Colleagues from Yerevan introduced them to the statistical methodology and financial accounting tools practiced in the country, and also explained the principles of methodological issues. In addition, they discussed the methods currently used in Turkmenistan for compiling financial accounts, including the process of implementing the transition to the 2008 SNA.

The study tour is expected to contribute to Turkmenistan's ongoing efforts to develop financial accounts in accordance with the 2008 SNA statistical standards and strengthen the country's institutional and statistical capacity in the field of national accounts.

The visit of the Turkmen delegation to Yerevan was organized within the framework of the project "Strengthening the institutional, statistical and information technology potential of the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Statistics", implemented by UNDP jointly with the State Committee of Turkmenistan on Statistics.
