The new Ambassador of Tunisia held a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan
Ambassador of the Tunisian Republic to Turkmenistan (with residence in Moscow) On July 4, Tarek Ben Salem presented copies of credentials to Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Berdyniyaz Matiyev.
The Turkmen diplomat congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to a responsible post and expressed hope that his activities will contribute to the further development of Turkmen- Tunisian relations. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established in November 1992.
The sides stated that there is a great potential for partnership between Turkmenistan and Tunisia both in the bilateral format and within the framework of interaction in authoritative international structures. The diplomats also discussed specific aspects of further cooperation of mutual interest for the two countries.
