Teams from the CIS, BRICS and SCO will take part in the University Sports Festival in Yekaterinburg

Youth teams from the CIS, BRICS and SCO countries - about 3 thousand athletes in total, will be participants of the International University Sports Festival in Yekaterinburg. From August 19 to 31, competitions in 14 sports will be held in the capital of the Urals, 193 sets of medals will be played.

"In August, 70 teams from the CIS, BRICS and SCO countries will come to participate in the university festival, which will be held at about the same level as if it were at the Universiade," Russian Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko said on Tuesday at a meeting of Russian President Vladimir Putin with members of the Cabinet of Ministers, TASS reports.
