Foreign Ministers of Turkmenistan and Israel discussed by phone bilateral relations
Turkmen Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov discussed a number of bilateral cooperation issues with Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen during a telephone conversation on Tuesday.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, "the parties discussed the expansion of trade and economic relations through the establishment of direct contacts between the business communities of the two countries."
The Turkmen side noted active interaction at multilateral platforms, primarily within the framework of the UN and other authoritative international organizations.
The telephone conversation took place on the initiative of the Israeli side, the report says.
Exactly two months ago, on April 20, the opening ceremony of the permanent Israeli embassy was held in Ashgabat with the participation of Foreign Ministers Rashid Meredov and Eli Cohen.
