Police robots will appear in Singapore

After five years of testing, police robots will appear in Singapore.
Machines with a height of 1.7 m will provide a guard and inform pedestrians about incidents. This, in turn, will allow order to be observed before the arrival of the main police forces, will help police officers make more informed decisions and deal with incidents more effectively.
Two machines are already performing their duties at Terminal 4 at Singapore's Changi Airport.
The robots are equipped with 360-degree surveillance cameras, retractable masts, sensors, speakers, displays, as well as a siren. All this can be used both for patrolling and addressing police officers to civilians.
It should be noted that cleaning robots, concierges, lawn mowers also work at Changi Airport. In 2019, the DPS robot was tested here.
Representatives of the Singapore police commented that patrol robots are needed to ensure an additional police presence in the terminal.
For the first time, the police brought robots to the streets of Singapore in 2018. Since then, the cars have undergone several upgrades
