Recommendations for improving the skills of customs officers were developed during the seminar of the Border Management Assistance Program in Central Asia (BOMCA 10) held in Astana.
Recommendations are needed to improve the skills of customs officers of Central Asian countries, including Turkmenistan. Experts from the State Customs Service of Lithuania and Riga Technical University introduced them to the experience of the European Union.
In modern conditions, the knowledge of a customs officer is, first of all, the knowledge and skills of an experienced user of modern software and application tools in the field of customs.
The development of the system of training, retraining and advanced training of customs officials involves solving the following tasks. In particular, the development of competitive additional professional programs; the creation of a system of educational and methodological support for educational activities; updating the content of additional professional programs.
