Russia and Kazakhstan intend to extend the oil transit agreement until 2033


Russia and Kazakhstan have decided to extend the contract on oil transportation through Kazakhstan until the end of 2033, Trend reports.
The corresponding agreement was reached during the meeting of the heads of the energy departments of the two countries Nikolai Shulginov and Almasadam Satkaliev at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
The volume of transit of black gold will be increased to 10 million tons per year.
"Russia and Kazakhstan continue successful and mutually beneficial cooperation in the energy sector, especially in the oil sector. During the meeting with Kazakh colleagues, it was decided to extend the intergovernmental agreement on oil transit through Kazakhstan until the end of 2033, increasing the volume to 10 million tons per year," the head of the Russian Ministry of Energy said, noting that the parties continue successful cooperation in the energy sector.
