The International festival of dance and folklore art opened in Avaza


The international dance and Folklore Festival "Avaza — 2023" was inaugurated in the national tourist zone with the participation of heads and representatives of international structures and cultural figures from different countries, the official Turkmen press reports.
The festival was previously initiated by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, it will last until June 16. As part of the solemn start of the event, scientists and cultural figures from Iran, India, Kazakhstan, China, Tajikistan, Russia, Romania and Uzbekistan arrived at the NTZ "Avaza".
The colorful opening took place in the amphitheater of the park ensemble of interactive fountains, where members of the Turkmen government, heads of public organizations and university students of the country gathered.
During the festival, creative groups from different countries will present to the audience traditional motifs of the national dance, reflecting the fullness of identity and features of folklore.
In addition, during the events that will last several days, it is planned to hold a scientific and practical conference "Traditions of folklore and folk dance", as well as master classes in choreography.
