Turkmenistan will take part in the WHO subregional workshop in Germany


The WHO Training Workshop on Quality Assurance and Data Management in Vaccine Safety Monitoring will be held in Frankfurt, Germany on 27-30 June. The meeting is organized in cooperation with the Paul-Ehrlich Institute in Frankfurt.
The event will be attended by experts from about 20 countries - Azerbaijan, Albania, Armenia, Belarus, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, the Republic of Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Tajikistan, North Macedonia, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Uzbekistan.
The aim of the workshop is to strengthen regional and national vaccine safety capacity in middle-income countries (MICs) by sharing WHO guidance, best practices and tools to analyze the effectiveness of vaccine safety monitoring systems.
At the workshop, experts will also review the effective use of data on adverse events after immunization (AEFIs) to identify, evaluate and manage vaccine safety signals.
Participants will gain knowledge in quality assurance in vaccine safety monitoring, international data standards and available AEFI repositories. Experts will also learn how to access, analyze and interpret data to support signal detection and evidence- based vaccine safety action.
The workshop will facilitate the exchange of experience and the establishment of closer links within the country, between states and specialists in AEFI surveillance.
