Turkmenistan recorded a significant increase in the volume of non-cash transactions

The volume of non-cash transactions in Turkmenistan in January-April 2023 increased by 41.05% compared to the same period last year, reaching 3.83 billion Turkmen manats. This is evidenced by the data published by the Central Bank of Turkmenistan.
The statistics took into account all non-cash transactions made through ATMs, bank card payment terminals, Internet banking system, mobile banking, E-commerce and Halkbank Terminal systems.
The largest part of non—cash settlements was carried out using terminals for payment by bank cards - for a total amount of 3.56 billion manats. Most of the transactions were carried out through the terminals of the SCBT "Dayhanbank" — by 1.03 billion manats.
The summary of non-cash transactions was prepared by the Department of Banking Automation of the Central Bank of Turkmenistan and reflects the growing popularity of digital payments, which increase the level of security and convenience of transactions for customers.
The Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, together with the Central Bank of the country, actively support the development of non-cash transactions and the introduction of new technologies. In addition, in order to improve the security of bank customers, work is underway to introduce modern personal data protection systems.
The use of non-cash transactions also contributes to the development of the economy and increase its transparency. Non-cash payments accelerate the turnover of funds and allow you to more accurately track the movement of funds in the economy.
In general, the use of non-cash transactions is one of the key factors in the development of the modern economy, and their importance will only increase in the future.
