Turkmenistan took part in the ministerial meeting "Central Asia - China"


Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Vepa Hajiyev took part in the 4th meeting of Foreign Ministers in the format "Central Asia - China", which was held on Thursday, April 27, in Xi'an.
Within the framework of the meeting, which was attended by the heads of the foreign ministries of Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and China, priority issues of interaction between the Central Asian states and China were discussed, topical areas of further partnership were outlined, the Turkmen Foreign Ministry said.
The participants of the event noted the important role of cooperation in the CA-China format in the context of intensifying joint efforts aimed at strengthening the constructive partnership of the participating countries of the format on a wide range of issues.
As Vepa Hajiyev noted at the meeting, it is the proximity and coincidence of approaches to fundamental issues of the regional and global agenda, based on the vast experience of interaction and good-neighborliness that provides a unique opportunity to develop modern tools for further cooperation between the countries of Central Asia and China.
The sides also exchanged views on the agenda of the upcoming first Central Asia-China Summit in May.
Following the meeting, a Communique on the 4th meeting of Foreign Ministers of the CA-China format was signed.
