SpaceX and Alibaba confirmed participation in the Ashgabat International Transport Conference ITTC 2023
A record number of delegates, including representatives of Elon Musk's SpaceX and Jack Ma's Alibaba, have registered to participate in the second international conference and exhibition "International Transport and Transit Corridors: Interconnectedness and Development 2023" (ITTC 2023), which will be held on May 3-4 in Ashgabat.
The purpose of this conference is to discuss topical issues on post-pandemic rehabilitation and adaptation to new realities in the field of international transportation and the development of effective international transport and transit corridors, infrastructure opportunities in the transport complex: highways, international seaports, airports and railway stations.
The conference will consider the possibility of increasing the Eurasian transport corridors and routes, transit potential and transport infrastructure, which is part of the international transport corridors in the directions "East –West" and "North–South", including in conjunction with the Chinese initiative "One Belt, One Road".
ITTC 2023 will be organized by the Agency of Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan, Agencies: "Turkmendemiryollary", "Turkmenavtoulaglary", "Turkmenhovayollary", "Turkmendenizyollary", "Turkmenaragatnashyk", and "Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan" in partnership with the NGO "Turkmen Forum".
The Conference will be attended by high-ranking representatives of the Government of Turkmenistan, representatives of international organizations, heads of national and international transport companies, and major international financial institutions. The rich business program of ITTC - 2023, in addition to the conference and exhibition, provides for the signing of memoranda and contracts, seminars, round tables, where domestic and foreign experts will introduce modern technological solutions in the field of transport and logistics. To date, more than 500 delegates from 40 countries have registered to participate in the conference.
The impressive list of delegates includes representatives of well-known international companies such as SpaceX, Alibaba, Airbus, Boeing, General Electric, Lufthansa, Thales, Cargo Lux, Fly Dubai, Turkish Airlines, Dragon Oil, Vitol, Lukoil, Lenovo, Hyundai, Toyota, Casale, Sumitomo, KazGrain, Russian Railways, international transport organizations: IATA (International Air Transport Association), ICS (International Chamber of Shipping), IRU (International Road Transport Union), UN, and many others.
The sessions and panel discussions of the Conference will also be attended by representatives of numerous international organizations and financial institutions – the UN, OSCE, the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank and diplomatic missions accredited in Turkmenistan.
Within the framework of the Conference, an international specialized exhibition "Transport and Logistics" will be organized, where transport and logistics centers, manufacturers and dealers of vehicles, suppliers of equipment for equipping logistics centers, insurance companies, administrations of seaports, airports and railway administrations will be presented.
An introductory tour along the Ashgabat - Turkmenabad highway, to the International Airport of Ashgabat and the international port of Turkmenbashi will also be organized for the guests of the conference.
