Tesla has opened a new subsidiary in China

American automaker Tesla, owned by Elon Musk, has opened a new subsidiary in China with an authorized capital of $ 2 million. This followed the announcement by the company about the construction of a new plant for the production of Megapack batteries, reports Investing.com.
The activities of the new enterprise in Shanghai will be aimed at providing technical support and software development based on artificial intelligence, solar energy production technologies, as well as maintenance of energy storage devices.
There is no information yet about the connection of this subsidiary with the new Tesla plant. In 2022, Elon Musk's company has already produced more than 710 thousand cars at the Shanghai plant, which is more than half of its production at the global level.
