Turkmenistan's loan reserve of 33 million euros from the EBRD is designed for the implementation of 23 projects


The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development plans to implement 23 projects in Turkmenistan with a total cost of 33 million euros. The relevant data are published on the official website of the EBRD.
Most of the loan portfolio, i.e. 32 million euros or 95% of the total amount, is aimed at investing in the development of industry, trade, and the agricultural sector of the country. The remaining 1 million euros will be used to improve Turkmenistan's financial institutions.
The EBRD focuses on small and medium-sized enterprises planning to enter the international sales market. Over the entire period of its activity, the bank has invested more than 366 million euros in Turkmenistan on 87 projects.
In 2021, this figure reached 293 million euros.
