Jordan hosts Holy Quran recitation competition


Amman, the capital of Jordan, is hosting the XXX International Holy Quran Recitation Competition these days. The competition, which attracts the interest of Muslims from all over the world, is held under the patronage of the King of Jordan.
The event started on April 11, and the winners will be announced on April 17, according to islamsng.com
To participate in the competition, which is considered one of the most prestigious in the world, the best readers of the Holy Quran from 43 countries came to Jordan. Highly skilled readers are called "al-maestro".
According to the rules, participants must know the Koran by heart and read it in accordance with the rules of tajwid. It is appreciated if the reader has a beautiful voice and uses special intonation rules.
