Turkmenistan will take part in the Global Forum on Refugees in Geneva


The Global Forum on Refugees, in which Turkmenistan will take part, will be held in Geneva on December 13-15. On the eve of the event, a preparatory Sub-regional round table will be held in the building of the UN Office in Almaty, according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan.
The Geneva forum is planned to be attended by high-level representatives of the sectoral ministries of the Central Asian countries - Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan, dealing with issues of refugees and stateless persons.
On the agenda of the conference is the discussion of new commitments related to the implementation of the Global Compact for Refugees, which calls on the international community to intensify efforts to support this category of people.
