The first virtual news announcer created on the basis of artificial intelligence has appeared in Kuwait, The Guardian reports.
It is planned to use it for reading online newsletters. The virtual presenter, who was named Fedha, which means "silver", was created on the basis of the latest achievements in the field of AI.
The innovation is available for viewing on the website of Kuwait Times, the first English-language daily newspaper in the Persian Gulf, founded in 1961.
Kuwait Times notes that Fedra will not replace live news anchors, but will be used in addition to them. The first 13-second video with a virtual presenter caused a lot of responses on social networks.
