The Kazakh government expects a decrease in the unemployment rate in rural areas


The Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan has adopted the Concept of Rural Development for 2023-2027, which assumes a reduction in the unemployment rate among villagers to 4.2%. At the moment, across the country, including the urban population, this figure is 4.9%.
According to the project, the villagers will be actively involved in the system of local self—government, and in the territories themselves - to develop tourism, eco-security, export-oriented production with the help of state support programs, reports zakon.kz .
In addition, mass construction of schools, hospitals and cultural facilities is planned. By 2027, residents of rural settlements will be fully provided with proper transport and sports infrastructure, high-speed Internet.
Employers are also stimulated: those who build housing for their employees will be refunded half of the costs. In the border areas, salary allowances and the introduction of micro-crediting of personal subsidiary farms at a rate of 2.5% per annum will be considered.
The government also expects a decrease in the share of the rural population with incomes below the subsistence minimum to 5.8%.
