Turkey together with Azerbaijan expects to supply gas to Europe
Turkey, together with Azerbaijan, expects to supply gas to European countries through a common company, Minister of Energy and Natural Resources of the country Fatih Donmez said.
In an interview with CNN Türk, the minister noted that Azerbaijan is a country with large investments in Turkey, and the Azerbaijani company SOCAR (State Oil Company) is also one of the largest investors in Turkey.
“This cooperation will begin to be carried out in the 3rd country as well. There will be new types of cooperation. BOTAŞ and SOCAR (State Companies of Turkey and Azerbaijan) have created a new company. We will supply gas to Europe. We have declared that we will become the center of gas trading. Azerbaijan also supports this. The Balkan countries demand gas from us and Azerbaijan. We will work together on this issue,” Donmez said.
