Distinguished Turkmen athletes were awarded with TV sets and laptops
Turkmen athletes, who have been awarded various medals at international tournaments since the beginning of the year, were solemnly presented with valuable gifts on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The ceremony was held in the Olympic Town of the Turkmen capital on April 7, World Health Day.
Smart TVs Alem and laptops Aýdyň gijeler were awarded to weightlifters who won medals of various merits at the Youth World Championship held in Durres (Albania) — Ogulshat Amanova, Medina Amanova, Perhat Bagtyyarov, Gulyalek Kakamuradova.
The same gifts were awarded to Turkmen swimmers after winning the Asian Open Championship in Thailand — Merdan Atayev, Anastasia Morgenstern, David Hakobyan, Aynur Primova, Arslan Gayypnazarov.
Memorable gifts for achieving the highest sports results were also presented to judoists, taekwondo, karate, sambo wrestlers, gymnasts, the junior hockey team and tennis players.
The ceremony dedicated to the World Health Day was accompanied by performances of dance ensembles of the country.
