About 5 million people in Buenos Aires came out to meet the winners of the 2022 FIFA World Cup

About five million people took to the streets of the Argentine capital Buenos Aires to honor the winners of the World Football Championship 2022, in which the national team of blue and white became the champion for the third time in its history, Euronews reports.
The city, in which 1/3 of the population took to the streets, faced excessive congestion of the transport network: the team traveling by bus could not get to the main symbol of the capital — the Obelisk, having traveled only a few kilometers in 4 hours.

The police could not take the champions out of the sea of people, and therefore they were taken away by helicopters.
Argentina's victory at the World Cup was dedicated by the captain of the national team Lionel Messi to Maradona and the past generations of the national team, as well as to the people of the country.
