Digitalization in the CIS countries - the topic of the St. Petersburg conference

Digitalization in the CIS countries should begin with legal regulation, which is the foundation of the economic and political development of states. This topic was discussed by the participants of the international conference in St. Petersburg, held on December 2 at the headquarters of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS member States, according to the website of the CIS Executive Committee.
Legislation in the field of digitalization should become more flexible and keep pace with the development of technology. Otherwise, the "path" from the idea to the adoption of the initiative may take months and years, the delegates of the forum noted.
"We are constantly considering special regulation in order to keep up with the rapidly changing world, adopt new tools and experimental legal regimes that will make the technologies already available in Russia mass and accessible," Alexey Sinitsyn, First Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council Committee of the Federal Assembly, said in his speech.
The conference was held in the Tauride Palace, where parliamentarians, lawyers, economists and representatives of the business community of the Commonwealth countries gathered.
