Scientific circles of Turkic world discussed the progress of mathematical science
The scientists from Turkmenistan participated in the 6th Congress of the Mathematical Society of Turkic countries, which took place in the capital of Kazakhstan from 2 to 5 October.
More than 500 scientists, including well-known mathematicians from Azerbaijan, Germany, Kyrgyzstan, United Arab Emirates, Poland, Russia, Turkey, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan and other countries gathered in Astana to exchange views and experience on the development of mathematical science, to consider ways of effective introduction of mathematical achievements in information technology, computer and digital systems.
The forum was organized in a sectional format by the following areas: algebra and mathematical logic, geometry and topology, function theory, differential equations and mathematical physics, probability theory and mathematical statistics, computational mathematics, control theory and optimization methods, mathematical modeling, theoretical bases of information technologies, history and methodology of teaching mathematics of Turkic peoples.
The researchers continued the debates on pressing issues at seminars “Inverse and ill-posed problems and its applications”, “Non-associative algebras and combinatorics” and “Mathematical modeling”.
Several other scientific events took place in the framework of the Congress. Thus, during the International Conference on "Functional Analysis in Interdisciplinary Applications" original results were presented in various areas of functional analysis and applied mathematics.
On the sidelines of the symposium, the Board of the Mathematical Society of Turkic-speaking countries was elected. The Kazakhstani academician Bakytzhan Zhumagulov was elected as president, while the scientists from Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey were elected vice-presidents, along with Professor Meredova Marala from Turkmenistan.
Doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, professor Ashiraliyev Allaberen, who was awarded with a special diploma for significant merits in the development of mathematical science, also became a member of the board.
Successes of scientists from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkey, and Uzbekistan were also noted.
The participants of the congress, traditionally held every three years, decided to hold the next meeting in Uzbekistan.
