Turkmenistan has become the largest supplier of electricity to Kyrgyzstan

From January to July 2022, Turkmenistan had supplied 1.2 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity to Kyrgyzstan, Kyrgyz media reported with reference to the National Statistical Committee of the country.

Thus, Turkmenistan has become the largest exporter of electricity to Kyrgyzstan, although only 14 months have passed since the beginning of the first deliveries. The total sum of exports amounted to $30.8 million.

Kazakhstan became the second largest supplier of electricity to Kyrgyzstan, which exported a little more than 423 million kilowatt-hours of electricity worth $6 million to the country over the specified period.
