The heads of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Saudi Development Fund discussed investment partnership


Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and CEO of the Saudi Development Fund Sultan bin Abdulrahman Al-Marshad discussed the development of Turkmen-Saudi investment cooperation.
The negotiations were held within the framework of the working visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan to Saudi Arabia to participate in the ministerial meeting of the strategic dialogue "Central Asia - Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf", according to the website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties considered promising investment projects for the development of Turkmenistan in the gas chemical industry, energy, water and agriculture, as well as healthcare.
During the talks, the existence of significant opportunities for the development of investment partnerships in the designated areas was emphasized.
The Saudi Development Fund is one of the largest sovereign wealth funds. It was established in 1971 for investment on behalf of the government of Saudi Arabia. According to estimates for 2021, its total assets amounted to about $430 billion.
