By 2025, the extraction of natural gas in the Balkan region, which is key for the oil and gas industry of Turkmenistan, is planned to be increased to 11 billion cubic meters per year.

Hangeldi Gurbangeldiyev, Head of the Economic Risk Analysis Department of the Agency for Protection from Economic Risks under the Ministry of Finance and Economy of Turkmenistan, told about this in a commentary for the official Turkmen press.

Such plans are put for the fuel and energy complex of the country in the long-term programs of socio-economic development of the country, Gurbangeldiev writes.

Simultaneously with the increase in natural gas extraction, it is planned to increase the production of gas condensate in the Balkan region to 10.5 million tons.

It is also planned to increase the production of motor gasoline by 29%, diesel fuel by 20.4%, and lubricating oils by three times by 2025 in the region.

The increase in extraction and production should be achieved through the introduction of advanced technologies.
