TCOR is carrying out a large-scale reconstruction of its power generation plants
The Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries will modernize its step-down electrical substations that supply the production areas of the TCOR. The Hong Kong company INVEST Enterprises Limited and Azap private enterprise will take part in this project. It is expected that the reconstruction of these power plants will take a year and a half. In September 2020, TCOR started a construction of two new gas turbine power plants with a capacity of 70 MW/h and reconstruction of the existing power plant. A radical technological upgrade of the TCOR power units will increase the reliability of providing electricity to existing and planned facilities of the complex. The main directions for the TCOR development are the introduction of new technologies, further quality improvement of products in accordance with new international environmental requirements. Earlier, ORIENT reported, that the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries intends to increase the oil processing depth from 86% to 92%.
