Formula One fans around the world will finally have a way to tune in to each and every Grand Prix without a cable subscription: the vaunted motorsport series is launching its own commercial-free streaming service with multi language commentary of every race, including every practice and qualifying session. F1 and its owners, Liberty Media Group, announced that they are launching an over the top service called F1 TV sometime early in the 2018 season, which starts on March 25 in Melbourne, Australia. Dubbed “F1 TV,” the $8-$12 monthly service will initially be available on the Internet, with mobile and TV applications phased in on Amazon Fire, Apple TV and Android. In addition, the service will provide exclusive access to all driver on-board cameras throughout every race session. All of practice, qualifying and races, will be offered live, along with press conferences, pre, and post-race interviews. Also live statistics will be available during each session, and users will be able to watch multiple angles at the same time. F1 TV Pro will have unique feeds not available on any other platform with the capability of multi-level personalization. Subscribers will be able to choose the content they view and how and when they access it, thereby becoming the “stage directors” of the online broadcast. Subscribers will also be able to watch live races of the main support series, the FIA Formula 2 Championship, GP3 Series and Porsche Supercup, among others.
