Turkmengaz and Turkmennebit Expand International Cooperation on Methane Emission Reduction

The Government of Turkmenistan is intensifying practical efforts to reduce methane emissions and ensure their beneficial use within the fuel and energy sector. State concerns Turkmengaz and Turkmennebit are collaborating with leading international companies as part of a specialized World Bank project.

At a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on Saturday, October 31, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved the proposals presented and instructed Deputy Prime Minister Guvanch Agajanov to establish a systematic partnership for the implementation of specific environmental protection measures at fuel and energy sector production sites.
