Modernization of the Power Grid in the Balkan Region Will Ensure a Reliable Energy Supply for Oil Fields

Turkmenistan is continuing a large-scale modernization of the material and technical infrastructure within its electric power sector. At this stage, particular focus is being placed on ensuring a stable power supply for consumers and industrial facilities in the Balkan Region, including the region’s strategic oil fields. The project is being implemented with the involvement of leading international technology partners.

During a government meeting on Saturday, October 31, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov approved proposals concerning the electric power industry and issued specific directives to the leadership of the construction and industrial complex.
