Turkmenistan’s International Airports Expand Range and Quality of Services

Turkmenistan is intensifying cooperation with international partners to modernize and upgrade the technical equipment at its international airports. During a government meeting on Friday, Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers Batyr Annayev reported on systematic measures being taken to improve the quality of ground handling and expand the range of air navigation services.
Thanks to the country’s advantageous geographical location at the crossroads of transcontinental routes and the presence of state-of-the-art terminals, there is growing interest from foreign airlines in operating both transit and scheduled flights through Turkmenistan’s airports. The program to strengthen the material and technical infrastructure includes the implementation of advanced standards for ground support equipment and service facilities, in partnership with global leaders in the aviation industry.
