Serdar Berdimuhamedov Outlined the Vectors of Partnership Between Turkmenistan and Georgia in Tbilisi

Elevating bilateral relations to a new strategic level, launching the Caspian Sea–Black Sea multimodal corridor, and implementing large-scale joint projects were the main topics of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's state visit to Georgia. Significantly, the head of state's visit coincided with the anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the countries, which began 34 years ago, on July 16, 1992.
On the first day of the visit, talks were held between President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and President of Georgia Mikheil Kavelashvili at the Orbeliani Palace. The two leaders discussed bilateral partnership in detail, focusing on the development of transport and logistics hubs and support for the Turkmenistan–Azerbaijan–Georgia–Romania corridor initiative. Serdar Berdimuhamedov invited his Georgian counterpart to visit Ashgabat at any convenient time, TDH reports.
The practical continuation of the visit was the Turkmen-Georgian business forum, which opened at the Expo Georgia exhibition center in the capital with the participation of the President of Turkmenistan and Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Kobakhidze.
Addressing the business communities of both countries, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov highlighted key areas of Turkmenistan's economic growth that offer enormous opportunities for Georgian and European investors. These include:
Energy – the fourth phase of industrial development of the super-giant Galkynysh field has begun, while foreign investment in the Caspian shelf is actively being attracted;
Transportation Hub – the head of state called on the private sectors of both countries to join forces to implement the ambitious project to build a Turkmen cargo terminal on Georgia's Black Sea coast.
Textile Exports – Turkmenistan's finished textile production has exceeded 130,000 tons per year, with approximately 80% of these products exported to foreign markets;
As part of the business forum, a large-scale exhibition showcasing Turkmenistan's export potential was held at the Expo Georgia venue. Leading ministries of our country, as well as members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (UIET), presented their pavilions there, ready to offer their Georgian partners a wide range of high-quality products, from environmentally friendly food products to construction materials and electrical equipment.
