Deryageldi Orazov, Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan, speaking at the Leaders' Summit of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) in Baku, stated that global urbanization requires the integration of high technology, architecture, and ecology.
Congratulating Azerbaijan and the United Nations Human Settlements Programme (UN-Habitat) on the successful launch of the leading global conference, the head of the Turkmen delegation expressed gratitude to President Ilham Aliyev for his traditional hospitality and emphasized that the forum opens new horizons for the sustainable development of megacities.
As a successful practical example of modern urbanism, Orazov presented the city of Arkadag to delegates, which in a short period of time has established itself on the international stage as a safe, environmentally friendly, and "smart" cluster.

The head of the State Committee emphasized that the idea of creating the city of the future belongs to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, who conducted a comprehensive analytical study to develop the master plan. The design of Arkadag took into account the region's natural and climatic conditions, wind patterns, seismic activity, and engineering infrastructure, ensuring the preservation of an ideal ecological balance.
The introduction of innovative information and communication technologies has enabled the integration of all city services into a single digital management ecosystem, significantly improving the quality of life for the population and making Turkmen expertise relevant to the global community.
