Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi called his visit to China very significant and productive, noting that the sides held in-depth talks on bilateral relations and all current issues facing Iran.
Araghchi, who visited China on Wednesday and held talks with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, said in an interview with Iran's state news agency IRIB that post-war Iran is entering a new stage of international cooperation.
"Our Chinese friends also believe that Iran after the war is different from Iran before the war, that it has proven its capabilities and strength.
Therefore, a new stage of cooperation between Iran and other countries lies ahead," he said.
Araghchi noted that the sides reviewed the entire spectrum of current issues and achieved fruitful results: the issues of war and ways to end it, negotiations related to Iran's nuclear program and the peaceful nature of its nuclear activities, sanctions issues, as well as all bilateral matters. The issue of the Strait of Hormuz and the need to respect the rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran were also discussed.
