A gala event honoring the creators of the feature film "Composer" was held in the Turkmen capital.
This event was a worthy continuation of the film's success, which it achieved several days earlier in Ankara, Turkey, during the Days of Turkmen Cinema. There, the film and its musical score received high praise from art historians and film enthusiasts, confirming the growing interest in contemporary Turkmen cinema abroad.
At this international forum, "Composer" was awarded special prizes by the international organization of Turkic culture, TURKSOY. One of the most significant awards was the "Winged Golden Steed," presented to composer Kerim Berdimuhamedov for his musical score. The melodies he created not only complemented the visuals but also became an integral part of the film's dramaturgy, enhancing its emotional impact on the viewer.
The Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Charitable Foundation for Assistance to Children in Need of Care also received special recognition. The Foundation was presented with the "Big Winged Falcon" award, recognizing its important role in the development of contemporary art.
It was thanks to the support of this Foundation that the film "Composer" was born and released on the big screen. Cultural scholars particularly noted this example of patronage as a constructive model for the interaction between philanthropy and creativity, a model that can serve as inspiration for future initiatives.

Experts who analyzed the film emphasized the harmonious blend of traditional national melodic traditions with modern cinematic techniques. This artistic synthesis not only gave the film a distinctive sound but also once again confirmed the high prestige of the Turkmen music school. It has nurtured outstanding composers whose time-tested work continues to inspire new generations of composers.
The ceremonies in Ankara and Ashgabat clearly demonstrated that Turkmen cinema continues to develop in new conditions, striving to preserve the traditions established by previous generations of filmmakers while simultaneously mastering the language of new artistic forms.
This dynamic is reinforced by active international activity, such as the regular hosting of international film festivals in Turkmenistan, as well as the successful presentation of domestic films at prestigious international venues.
For example, the film "Composer" has already won recognition at major festivals. It received awards from the Moscow International Film Festival (2025) and the Gorkut Ata International Film Festival (2024). These achievements not only strengthen the reputation of national cinema but also open new opportunities for cultural dialogue at the international level.
