At a Cabinet of Ministers meeting chaired by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on Friday, the date of the head of state's upcoming state visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan was confirmed: November 24-25.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov reported on preparations for the visit, emphasizing that strengthening the traditional friendly dialogue with neighboring countries is a foreign policy priority for the country.
The visit will take place on the invitation of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and is aimed at strengthening the strategic partnership between the two countries. High-level talks will focus on the implementation of the Comprehensive Program for Strengthening Friendship and Deepening the Multifaceted Strategic Partnership for 2025-2027, signed last year in Ashgabat.
The foundation for cooperation between Ashgabat and Astana is a solid legal framework, enshrined in 180 bilateral documents.
Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan cooperate effectively within the UN and other authoritative international organizations. Particular attention is paid to deepening trade and economic cooperation, where mutual trade turnover has steadily increased, as well as developing cultural and humanitarian ties.
President Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs to ensure proper preparation for the visit, which is intended to give new impetus to fraternal relations.
