Ashgabat, November 15 | ORIENT. The annual national competition for the Presidential Prize of Turkmenistan, "Türkmeniň Altyn asyry," has officially launched in Turkmenistan. President Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed the corresponding decree during a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, emphasizing the state's special attention to the development of national culture and the identification of young talents.
The goal of the competition is to identify, encourage, and support talented figures in literature, culture, and art, amateur performers, and gifted children.
The competition aims to reward the most accomplished artists whose works and creative achievements best reflect the country's history and national values, its policy of permanent neutrality, and major reforms.
The Presidential Competition traditionally includes a number of national creative competitions: the television competition for young performers "Ýaňlan, Diýarym!" (Ring, My Homeland!).
The competition for dutarists and bakhshi musicians "Çalsana, bagşy!" (Play, Bakhshi!). The competition for talented children "Garaşsyzlygyň merjen däneleri" (Pearls of Independence).
The competition results and awards ceremony are scheduled for September 2026, coinciding with the celebration of the 35th anniversary of Turkmenistan's independence.
