The official ceremony of presenting his credentials to President Prabowo Subianto was held in Jakarta, at the Palace of the President of the Republic of Indonesia, by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan Mukhametniyaz Mashalov (with residence in Kuala Lumpur).

Ambassador Mukhametniyaz Mashalov conveyed warm greetings and best wishes to the President of Indonesia on behalf of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

President of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto congratulated the Ambassador on his appointment to this responsible position and wished him success in his diplomatic endeavors.

During the conversation, the parties reaffirmed their interest in developing interstate relations. The Ambassador noted that Turkmenistan views the Republic of Indonesia as an important partner in Southeast Asia and has identified priority areas of cooperation: political and diplomatic, trade and economic, cultural, and humanitarian.

Taking this opportunity, the Ambassador extended an invitation on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan to the President of the Republic of Indonesia to visit Turkmenistan.

Following the main ceremony, the newly appointed Ambassador met with Indonesian Foreign Minister Sugiono.

The Indonesian Minister expressed his readiness to assist and support the Ambassador in his diplomatic endeavors. The parties agreed to maintain regular contacts between the foreign ministries of the two countries to further strengthen bilateral cooperation.
