The autumn tree planting season in Turkmenistan officially kicked off: on November 8, a nationwide environmental campaign was held with the participation of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty.

The participation of the head of state and the National Leader of the Turkmen People enhanced the significance of the event, which is not only an environmental event but also an important socio-cultural event, strengthening social cohesion and instilling in the younger generation a culture of respect for nature.

The tree planting campaign was carried out on a large scale throughout the country. In the Ashgabat foothills, forests are actively expanding, including areas planted with junipers.

Turkmenistan's environmental conservation efforts are highly regarded internationally. Ashgabat's awarding of the International Certificate for its contribution to the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe's "Trees in Cities" initiative is a significant achievement for the country in developing environmental diplomacy.

This year's mass ceremony demonstrated Turkmenistan's worthy contribution to global efforts to ensure environmental well-being, protect the environment, and achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov participated in the mass tree planting in the city of Arkadag.

The landscaping in Arkadag ensures a harmonious blend of the new city's facilities with the natural features of the region.

The event was accompanied by music and songs. A literary and musical performance featuring riders from the Galkynyş National Equestrian Games Group added a special festive atmosphere to the event.

The annual nationwide tree planting campaign is an integral part of the national strategy aimed at transforming the Motherland into blooming gardens. Under the personal leadership of the head of state and the Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty, Turkmenistan demonstrates to the world that environmental responsibility and sustainable development are not just empty declarations, but key priorities of its domestic and foreign policies.
