President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov congratulated rural workers, skilled farmers, and the entire nation on the Harvest Festival. In his address, the head of state emphasized his profound respect for the work of farmers.
The Harvest Festival marks immense pride in the generous gifts of the Turkmen land and expresses the state's respect for the work of Turkmen farmers.
The address noted that this year, the country's grain growers delivered over 1.4 million tons of select wheat to the state, a source of abundance and prosperity.
The state is taking effective measures to comprehensively develop the agricultural sector and significantly strengthen its material and technical infrastructure. "This work includes improving farming standards, introducing advanced technologies, and improving seed production. We are also successfully addressing the challenges of modernizing the livestock sector, including poultry farming, ensuring food abundance, rationalizing land and water use, and protecting the environment," the President stated.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov also noted the regular procurement of modern machinery, equipment, and units, the adequate supply of mineral fertilizers to improve soil fertility, high-quality seeds, and timely payments to producers for harvested crops.
The state will continue to create all the conditions necessary for tenant farmers, cotton growers, grain farmers, machine operators, agronomists, plant breeders, and other specialists to be able to work productively and live in abundance. The President emphasized that special attention will be paid to the proper recognition of the work of Turkmen farmers.
Serdar Berdimuhamedov wished the farmers good health, family well-being, and great success in their work, concluding with the words: "And may the abundance of the generous Turkmen land never run out!"
The country celebrates Harvest Festival annually on the second Sunday of November.
