During Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov's working visit to Washington, representative economic events were held, including the C5+1 business conference and the Turkmen-American Business Forum.
C5+1 Business Format Strategy: Green Standards and Innovations
Common areas of cooperation were outlined at the multilateral Business Conference, held at the Kennedy Memorial Center and dedicated to the tenth anniversary of the C5+1 format.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, speaking at the forum, emphasized that the meeting confirms the transition from plans to practical cooperation, capable of mobilizing financial and technical resources for large-scale projects.
Priority areas included advanced technologies, artificial intelligence, green standards, energy, and transportation.
Panel sessions focused on the creation of an integrated and competitive logistics system between regions, as well as the implementation of artificial intelligence in the financial and energy sectors.
Bilateral Agenda: From Energy to Medicine
A separate event was the Turkmen-American Business Forum, which brought together heads of relevant organizations and representatives of global businesses, including John Deere, General Electric, SpaceX, Oppenheimer Holdings Inc., as well as the World Bank and the IMF.
Speaking at the forum, Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the Turkmenistan-USA Business Council, emphasized the platform's role as an effective, time-tested mechanism.
The Turkmen side presented a favorable investment climate and incentives for business development, confirming the private sector's readiness to implement foreign economic initiatives.
Particular emphasis was placed on the fuel and energy sector (modernization, diversification, and green energy), high technology (cybersecurity and digitalization), and the processing industry (textiles and food).
The products of “Arkadag Medisina Klasteri Menejment”, showcased at the forum, were particularly noted, demonstrating Turkmenistan's potential in the field of medical and environmentally friendly products.
Both forums confirmed that Turkmenistan's foreign policy, based on the principles of neutrality, serves as a solid foundation for equitable, mutually beneficial, and promising cooperation with the United States.
