During a working visit to the city of Arkadag on Wednesday, November 5, the National Leader of the Turkmen People, Chairman of the Khalk Maslakhaty (People's Council), Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, visited Arkadag Park, where he inspected the improvement and architectural design work. Particular attention was paid to the placement of sculptures of the legendary Akhal-Teke horses and the composition of a trade caravan.
The heads of the State Construction Committee of Arkadag and the city administration reported on the work being carried out. After inspecting the sculptures, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that these objects should become symbols of national values and the historical heritage of the Turkmen people. He made a number of adjustments and recommendations, noting that Akhal-Teke horses, Alabai, and Arvana camels, having shared a historical path with our people, have become a source of national pride.
Therefore, the sculptural compositions must reflect the people's love for these symbols. As an educational element, it was mandated that inscriptions accompanying each of the horse sculptures include information about their achievements.
This decision underscores the state's intention to use the architectural space of the new city to perpetuate national heritage and create a contemporary cultural environment with a historical perspective.
