Once Again, Gold at the Vienna Festival for the Youth Chamber Orchestra of Turkmenistan
27.07.2025 | 22:35 |The Youth Chamber Orchestra of Turkmenistan under the direction of Rasul Klychev won the Gold Prize at the 11th World Festival of Orchestras, which brought together more than 2,500 young musicians from 40 countries in the capital of Austria.
In addition to concerts and performances, the orchestras were offered master classes led by musicians from the famous Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra, professors from the famous Vienna University of Music and Performing Arts and other famous Austrian music experts and teachers.
At the prestigious international forum, where orchestras competed and exchanged experiences, Turkmen musicians presented a unique combination of world classical works and the original sound of Turkmen music. It was this harmonious fusion of ancient traditions and virtuoso performance skills that won the hearts of the strict jury, consisting of world-famous conductors and experts.
The Youth Chamber Orchestra performed at the best concert venues in Vienna, including the famous "Golden Hall" - Musikverein, where the Turkmen artists were greeted with thunderous applause.
At the closing ceremony of the festival in one of the most popular concert halls in the world, the Turkmen musicians were unanimously awarded the prize in the "Gold" category in the "Chamber Orchestra" nomination. By decision of the jury, our group was also awarded special prizes in the nominations "Best Conductor", "Best Performance of Classical Music" and "Best Performance Skills".
This recognition at such a high level emphasizes not only artistic achievements, but also the significant contribution of Turkmen youth to world culture. Last year, the Youth Chamber Orchestra of Turkmenistan was also awarded the Gold Prize of this festival, which means that success is not accidental, but natural.
And the president of the artistic committee of the festival, famous British conductor, Professor Toby Purser expressed a desire to hold joint concerts with the orchestra and personally visit Turkmenistan. This opens up new prospects for cultural diplomacy and strengthening international ties, demonstrating the uniqueness of the Turkmen cultural heritage.
