Turkmenistan has been included among the countries covered by the new international tourism magazine, Travel + Leisure Central Asia, which officially launched on June 20th in Tashkent.

The new magazine will feature five countries within the region: Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. It will also be distributed in the United States and subsequently in European countries. Plans are underway to establish representative offices in all regional countries, including Turkmenistan. This expansion will bolster the magazine's presence and facilitate more proactive promotion of Turkmenistan's tourism potential on the global stage.

Barno Ikramova, Editor-in-Chief of Travel + Leisure Central Asia, emphasized that the publication goes beyond merely describing locations; it encourages readers to immerse themselves in the region's essence:

"The inaugural issue is an invitation. An invitation to see and experience our region. Travel + Leisure is akin to a 'Michelin' guide in tourism. And now, Central Asia can vie for a place on that list".

Travel + Leisure is an iconic American magazine that has been published in New York since 1937. It connects millions of readers worldwide, offering expert reviews, curated itineraries, and reports. It also organizes prestigious accolades such as the World's Best Awards, a notable ranking of top travel destinations, hotels, cruise lines, and airlines. The digital version of the publication boasts 16.5 million monthly readers.

The launch of Travel + Leisure Central Asia is designed to champion the region's cultural heritage, contemporary life, and sustainable tourism. A five-year franchise agreement has been signed, and the magazine's launch has garnered significant attention from representatives in the tourism, culture, and creative industries.
