Orient Express Corinthian: the world's largest sailing yacht launched in France

In Saint-Nazaire, France, at the Chantiers de l’Atlantique shipyard, the Orient Express Corinthian, a 220-meter sailing yacht and now the world's largest, was launched. This vessel is not merely a ship, but a true floating palace, embodying the future of luxury travel through its combination of unprecedented luxury, advanced technology, and uncompromising environmental sustainability.

The yacht is equipped with a revolutionary SolidSail system and a hybrid propulsion system powered by liquefied natural gas (LNG), making it virtually carbon-free—a crucial aspect in an era of increasingly stringent environmental regulations. Artificial intelligence is integrated into its control system to prevent collisions with marine life, and a dynamic positioning unit protects the seabed by eliminating the need for an anchor. All materials used in the vessel's construction have been selected for minimal impact on the ecosystem.

The interior design of the Orient Express Corinthian, crafted by French artisans, is inspired by the transatlantic liners of the golden age, with the addition of contemporary elements. Onboard, there are 54 suites and five restaurants led by Michelin-starred chef Yannick Alléno.

The maiden voyage is scheduled for June 2026, covering the Mediterranean and Caribbean, and in 2027, a sister ship, the Orient Express Olympian, will join the fleet. Experts regard the Orient Express Corinthian as a bold statement about the future of travel: luxurious, technologically advanced, and environmentally conscious.
